MIXED INFILL

This project fills in an urban gap in a developing Philly neighborhood with 26 units of housing – 17 townhouses plus 9 flats in 3 triplex buildings – while incorporating an existing 19th-Century building existing on the site. An articulated roof form dips down to accommodate narrow third-floor front terraces for each townhouse, increasing light penetration in the units and creating a visual connection between upper level spaces and the street. The triplex buildings anchor the corners with double-height spaces, completing the site’s urban edges.
