EVERYDAY DESIGN

Employing modest materials with subtle textural shifts, flexible interiors, and a singular custom-fabricated entry stair, this project aims to improve on everyday housing. The exterior vestibules – fabricated of plate steel by a local shop – provide privacy at each unit entry without disrupting the clean, open, loft-like spaces of first floor living areas. These repetitive entry structures, along with a distinctive façade pattern for each unit in gray and a red sampled from a warehouse across the street, define the urban character of the project.
