This interior renovation for the offices of The Lighting Practice, a lighting design consultancy based in Center City, refreshed an underused entry and social area for a 6000 SF office. The design expanded the existing enclosed kitchen into an open gathering zone and workbar capable of housing the entire office for group meetings. Custom millwork, including a reception desk and faceted plywood-clad meeting pod, control circulation, and two closed meeting rooms, a private phone room, and a conference room allow for sound-controlled video calls with remote collaborators and clients. A consistent lighting detail with a linear base cove defines the edges of all casework, guiding visitors through the newly open social work environment.
