A SPACE FOR ART AND LIVING

This art gallery plus residence for the gallery owners utilizes sectional changes and an open stairwell to filter natural light down through the top-level residence into the gallery on the ground floor. Flexible spaces on the middle level accommodate the owners’ personal collection, private viewings, and artists in residence, fluidly navigating between private and public functions. The project looks to mend the dramatic transition from industrial, commercial corridor to fine-grained residential neighborhood.
